Reminiscent of brass instruments from a bygone time that were so intricate they verged on being purely experimental, this overly-complicated trumpet involves a seemingly needless twist on typical brass instruments. Usually, brass instrument valves function by redirecting flow of air to different lengths of tubing to change the pitch of the instrument, and thereby play different notes. Instead of doing that, I decided to just have several valves that move slides (similar to a trombone) to extend the tubing length.
